3SkypePhone Review

The 3SkypePhone is certainly a revolutionary mobile phone but is it any good? I just been digging around the internet and found some interesting reviews. The idea behind the 3 Skype phone is that you can now make free Skype-to-Skype calls, on a mobile phone, over Three’s 3G network.

The Times newspaper, one of the most respected newspapers in the UK, forecast the 3 Skype Phone is going to be “one of the hot sellers this Christmas period”.

Here are some of the key points from the Times review:

“The call quality between two Skype users is usually clear, often crystal clear.”

“My biggest concern – sound quality – is refreshingly not an issue. I have called contacts in the United States, the UK and Italy without a hitch from all over the city.”

Sounding pretty good so far, eh? Of course one opinion is never enough so I also found this review over at Pocket-Lint, a great blog by the way. The boys over at Pocket-Lint have given the Skype Mobile Phone, 7 out 10, so again a positive review.

Here are the key points from Pocket-lint:

“If you are a big Skype user then the chance to take your contacts with you will be really appealing, offering you 2 hours of free calls every day to other Skype users.”

“If you are just looking for a regular phone without any whistles or bells, then this is certainly worth taking a closer look at”

So overall it looks like the 3SkypePhone gets a big thumb up.
